The Final Slide Matters More Than the First

LG Audio Systems Conference by Vlad Bugaev (pptxman) on Behance. We tend to think of a cover as something hugely important—something that sells and grabs attention. And that’s true for a book or an album, which has to stand out among hundreds of competitors. And to sell. But the first slide isn’t competing with anyone; you don’t need to fight for people to open your presentation—it’s either already projected behind you or you’ve sent it by email to a specific person. That’s why all your creativity should go into the final slide: it’s the one people remember best, and it comes last. It needs to carry your key message for the audience. If you’re speaking live, there’ll be questions afterwards. A final slide with your contact details and a memorable image or message is the perfect thing for everyone to photograph. And let’s drop the tradition of ending with just “Thank you” It’s like firing a shot into the air. Do like this only if you genuinely have nothing else to say. ~ #design #2k19
